I was at the S-Bahn station in Altona, after grabbing a few groceries from Lidl. It was around 3:45pm (according to call logs, as I called my mother immediately after I realised it was gone for advice. A man with curly hair and a leather jacket bumped into me and, when I sat down at the station, I realised the passport was gone. I retraced my steps, back into the store, and even went to a pastry stand I had gone to earlier in the day, but no luck. After consulting an agent at the DB information booth, I was told to inquire with the police. I've made an online report with them, and an officer I encountered also told me to inquire with the local lost and found, which I now have as well.
The wallet contained my American passport (Blue), a Texasdriver's' license, a white American Express card, a green TD debit card, a red Key Bank debit card, $6 in US cash, 178 € in cash, along with my German work visa inside of my US passport. The wallet is black and faux-leather and contains a slot in it specifically to hold a passport. I was told to always keep it on me as a form of ID while travelling, hence why I had all of this with me.
